Modular Home Construction

Heider Construction offers an exciting change in the construction of your next new home.

Heider Construction, Inc. has built several modular homes in the last few years.  We know that modular homes have several clear benefits over the traditional "stick-built" structure.  A modular home is built in a factory to very close tolerances on jigs specially built to keep each module straight and square and under constant supervision and inspection by the factory's quality control engineers.  Each structure has been painstakingly drafted and blueprinted at the factory to the customers' exact specifications.  The interior design and customization are completely understood by each craftsman, and an efficient flow of progress and materials assure that the structure will be delivered on time and as expected when the site is ready.

At the same time the building is going on inside the factory we are obtaining the needed permits for utilities and doing the site work where the home will be built.  When the foundation is finished and we are ready for the modules to be set we contact the factory and the crane service.  The modules arrive and are hoisted into place and assembled by the factory's crew.  The last finishing touches are added and the utilities are connected.

Click here to see a modular home we constructed in Billerica.  We removed a single-family house and replaced it with a colonial style house with an "in-law" living wing.

Click here to see another modular we built in Tewksbury.  This was another house we demolished and rebuilt with a modular structure.

This is a picture of a burned-out duplex.  It was a perfect candidate for a modular home project.

We took the house down and prepared the foundation for the new structure.  Another contractor put the new house up, but we never went back to see his final completed work.
