Tewksbury Modular Here is another set of pictures of a building replacement we did in Tewksbury. Very often you can purchase a run-down old building for very little money and replace it with a brand new custom modular home. The total cost of doing this can be much less than buying a new house that was already built. Real estate commissions and fees are lower when buying the old house, and due to the efficiency in building a modular home, the total cost can be much less than the "stick-built" structure. You can end up with a better quality custom built home with factory support if needed. Many times a builder will put up a house and disappear, leaving you with little or no recourse if a problem arises.
This is an old house we replaced with a new one in Tewksbury. We demolished the old structure and took it away.
With the old building gone we removed the old stone foundation and poured a new one to fit the factory specifications for the new modular home. The modules arrived and were assembled by the factory's crew. We installed the utilities and finished the site work.
The inside of this modular homes was customized by the owners. They selected the flooring, appliances, cabinets, counter tops and room layout before the modules were built. The factory installed these requirements and pre-wired the modules including wall outlets and lights. Plumbing for the bathroom and kitchen is also done at the factory.
